Shelley is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked at the Center for Child Protection since 1997. She oversees all of the administrative and clinical services for the department including grant management. She lectures at local, regional and national meetings and conferences providing training on child abuse and mental health treatment. She serves on numerous committees and is currently the Vice President for the California chapter of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (CAPSAC).

Shelley continues to provide direct services including crisis assessment in the Emergency Department and comprehensive psychotherapy at the main hospital campus and in Southern Alameda County. She utilizes a number of trauma programs including: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Integrated Play Therapy, EMDR, PCIT.
