Shelley Ann Wiechman PhD, ABPP

Dr. Shelley Wiechman, PhD is Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Wiechman is currently the attending psychologist for the Burn Unit and is aggressively involved in both inpatient and outpatient care. She has worked with Burn Center patients in the capacity of a student, fellow or attending psychologist for over ten years, conducting both research and clinical work. She has specialized training in statistical analysis and she also has training in motivational interviewing and uses this technique in daily practice. Dr. Wiechman was an investigator on the previous UW Burn Model System grant and successfully completed a project on evaluation of the reasons for distress after burn injury. She is the primary investigator for the project, Expanded Delivery Model for Burn Rehabilitation.
