Sheldon Moberg ME

Sheldon Moberg joined Amgen in January 2011 to oversee development of the company’s broader drug delivery strategy and capabilities. In his current role, Sheldon is the Head of Advanced Device Technologies & Innovation responsible for leading advanced device technologies operations and strategic planning, identifying and developing new drug delivery technologies, and identifying launch enabling or value-enhancing device technologies to serve companies product portfolio.

With over 25 years’ experience, Mr. Moberg is a medical device and combination product technology and development leader dedicated to building highly successful teams as well as innovating and directing high-impact development programs from concept through commercialization. Results driven with a proven track record of achievement through creative product development, innovation, organizational development, and process controls. Experience in implantable medical devices, ambulatory infusion pump systems, combination products, and consumables. Prior to Amgen, Mr. Moberg held Research and Development leadership positions at Medtronic’s Diabetes Division in Northridge, California, where he was responsible for leading research and development activities of drug delivery systems.

Mr. Moberg earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Mr. Moberg has been awarded 130 patents in the United States, with multiple patents pending.
