Shawn Percival is a Community Paramedic for the City of San Diego's Resource Access Program (RAP). RAP Paramedics monitor the 911 system and provide intervention for individuals suffering from medical or social difficulties such as chronic medical disease, mental illness, substance abuse disorders, and chronic homelessness. Shawn has worked in Emergency Medical Services for 16 years, with 4 years as a Community Paramedic. Shawn is a veteran and served in the United States Army as an Air Defense Artillery Specialist and Assistant Squad Leader. As a Community Paramedic, Shawn specializes in substance abuse care and homelessness.
