Sharon W. Weiss MD, FASCP

Sharon W. Weiss, MD, FASCP, was the first to characterize multiple soft tissue pathologic entities. A board-certified pathologist who specializes in the diagnosis of bone and soft tissue neoplasms, Dr. Weiss is a co-author of the iconic textbook, Enzinger and Weiss's Soft Tissue Tumors, now in its 6th edition. Dr. Weiss is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta. After earning her MD from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, she pursued four years of Anatomic Pathology training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and became the first woman to hold the position as Chief Resident in Pathology.
