Dr. Sharon Dudley-Brown is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology division. She studies Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and specifically women and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Dudley-Brown holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Rochester, a master's degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Maryland. She held faculty positions at Thomas Jefferson University, the University of Delaware, the University of Maryland and Catholic University of America before joining the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2007. She is a member of the Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses and Associates, the American Gastroenterological Association, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, the National Nurse Taskforce and the Medical Advisory Committee.
