Shane Guy BSc

Shane Guy has been in the healthcare industry for over 30 years and has been dedicated to management, education, and quality portfolios. He has experience as a nurse unit manager for Anaesthetics and Post Anaesthetic Care at a major trauma referral hospital in Canberra including being the nurse educator for both areas. Currently, he is the Perioperative Nurse Educator managing a small cohort of Clinical Development Nurses in delivering Essential and Mandatory education requirements to over 300 staff.

As a Quality Safety Officer for Medical Imaging in a major trauma referral hospital he has experienced and successfully gained and maintained compliance with the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme (DIAS) and National Standards Accreditation for 4 cycles of accreditation for the Medicare Rebate scheme governed by NATA. He is a committee member for the Australian Anaesthesia Allied Health Practitioner providing volunteer registration and education for Anaesthetic Technicians where he co-ordinates annual conferences for at times over 200 delegates
