Shamil R. Sunyaev PhD

Dr. Shamil Sunyaev, PhD is Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Research Geneticist at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH). He is also an Associate member of the Broad Institute. Dr. Sunyaev completed the PhD program at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT, Russia) in 1997 and was a postdoctoral fellow at European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL, Germany) in 1998-2002. Dr. Sunyaev’s expertise is in computational biology, genomics and population genetics. He developed several computational and statistical methods for the analysis of human allelic variation.
