Shamil Mohamed

Shamil Mohamed is a retired hotelier and a registered client at the Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation’s Activity Centre. He started experiencing difficulties in walking at age 54 and was subsequently diagnosed with fluid in the brain, which is a rare cause of dementia. He has been advocating for his country’s government to adopt a national plan for dementia that will enhance the quality of life for persons with dementia and their carers.
