Shamai A Grossman, MD, MS, is currently associate professor of medicine and emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is vice chair for Health Care Quality and director of Observation Medicine for Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians and the Department of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is an attending physician with the Department of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as well. Dr. Grossman is trained as both a cardiologist and an emergency physician and focuses his research and teaching on the interface between both cardiology and emergency medicine and health care quality. He is the editor-in-chief of Cardiovascular Problems in Emergency Medicine and cardiology section editor for Scientific American Emergency Medicine.
