Shaker Qaqish MD, FASDIN

Dr. Shaker S. Qaqish completed a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation at UCLA. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Interventional Nephrology at the University of Michigan. He is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology and focuses on dialysis access interventions.

Dr. Qaqish is certified by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology for vascular access procedures, including obliteration of accessory veins, subcutaneous port placement, and permanent peritoneal dialysis catheter-fluoroscopic technique. He has written numerous publications and has authored and edited books on topics related to his clinical practice.

Before joining Preferred Vascular Group, Dr. Qaqish worked in New York City at a high-volume vascular center performing dialysis access interventions.
