Dr. Shailaja Nair, MD, FACP, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College, where she provides compassionate, comprehensive care and plays a key role in advancing women’s health education and clinical programs. In her leadership roles, Dr. Nair serves as the Director of Jefferson Women’s Primary & Specialty Care, Director of the Integrated Program in Women’s Health, and Director of Women’s Health Education — guiding clinical services and educational initiatives that enhance women’s health care delivery within internal medicine.
Dr. Nair earned her medical degree (MD) from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia in 2006, and she holds an MBBS from the University of Calicut in India (1996). She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at both the University of Calicut and Drexel University College of Medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), reflecting her commitment to excellence in clinical practice and professional standards. Dr. Nair’s work encompasses patient care, medical education, and program leadership, with a particular focus on meeting the unique health needs of women and training the next generation of physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
