Dr. Irusen completed his MBChB in 2009 at the University of Cape Town and completed his post-graduate training as a pediatrician at Stellenbosch University in 2016. His Masters was on Paediatric bacterial urinary tract infections in the South African context and described both the uropathogen profile, associated antibiotic sensitivity patterns and the risk factors for acquiring urinary tract infection. He is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
