Dr. Severin Laeuchli, MD is a Chief of dermatologic surgery and Mohs surgery at the Department of Dermatology at the University of Zurich. Dr. Laeuchli is president of the European Society for Micrographic Surgery (ESMS), president of the Swiss Working Group for Dermatosurgery, and immediate past-president of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA). He has published in leading medical journals such as JEADV, Dermatology, and J Wound Care on the subject of dermatology and wound care. His main fields of interest are Mohs micrographic surgery, nail surgery, and wound care.
Dr. Laeuchli earned his medical degree at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in 1995. He obtained his board certification in Dermatology and Venerology in 2002 following residencies in Dermatology and Angiology (vascular medicine) at the University Hospital, Zurich, as well as Dermatovenerology at the Triemli Hospital in Zurich. Subsequently, he received additional training in Mohs Surgery in different teaching centers in the USA (2005). His focus is on the sustainable and aesthetic treatment of skin cancer with Mohs surgery, but also on other dermatological and gentle nail surgery procedures and the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.
