Dr. Seung Min Kathy Lee was raised in Portugal, Singapore, Korea, and the US. In high school, she became fascinated with acupuncture and decided to go back to Korea to study this field of medicine in more depth. She gained admittance to the most prestigious school of Korean Medicine, Kyung Hee University College of Korean Medicine, and obtained her medical license to practice Korean Medicine. She then continued her education as a clinical intern and resident at the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Medicine, the biggest department at Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital. After four years of intensive clinical training, she became a Board certified specialist in Acupuncture and Moxibustion and further obtained her Ph.D. in the same field.

Other than teaching and research, she regularly treats patients at several different private clinics.
