Seth Adam Waits, MD, is a faculty member in the Section of Transplant Surgery. Dr. Waits received his medical degree from the University of Toledo in 2009. He completed his general surgery residency and abdominal transplant fellowship at the University of Michigan 2018. While a research fellow in transplantation and general surgery from 2013-2015, he investigated quality improvement efforts across hospital collaboratives and looked for novel methods of surgical education. He is board-certified by the American College of Surgeons and holds a certificate of completion of fellowship from the American Society of Transplant Surgeons. Dr. Waits' clinical focus is on liver and kidney transplants, benign and malignant disease of the liver and biliary tree, and general surgery in patients with end-stage liver and kidney disease.
