Setareh Aghabak Lavasani DDS, MS

Dr. Setareh Lavasani is a Board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist. She received her DDS from Ajman University in U.A.E in 2005. In 2008, she enrolled in the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Residency Program at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She received her Certificate in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology in 2013 and completed her Master¿s Degree in Dental Diagnostic Sciences in 2014. Currently, she is a full time faculty in College of Dental Medicine. Dr.Lavasani is the co-author of the first digital/interactive Oral Radiology textbook; Fundamentals of Oral Radiology. She is actively involved in multiple committees at the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. She has presented at multiple national and international scientific meetings and has published in a number of dental journals. Her areas of interest are Radiation biology, Radiographic interpretation and 3D CBCT imaging. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her beloved dog Thundi.
