Serena Omo-lamai PhD

Dr. Serena Omo-Lamai is a Schmidt Science Fellow and a postdoctoral researcher in David R. Liu’s lab at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She completed her doctoral training with Jacob Brenner at the University of Pennsylvania where she investigated the mechanisms that govern lipid-nanoparticle immunogenicity and demonstrated therapeutic applications of various targeted drug carriers. Her current research integrates next-generation lipid nanoparticles with programmable genome editing systems such as base and prime editors to enable durable and tissue-selective therapies.
