Selvam Thavaraj PhD, FDSRCS, FRCPath

Selvam was appointed Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the Dental Institute and Honorary Consultant in Head and Neck Pathology at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2009. Alongside the provision of a diagnostic histopathology service for one of the largest Head and Neck Cancer centres in the UK, his research interests include various aspects of human papillomavirus-associated head and neck cancer including optimal diagnostic testing and mechanisms of improved outcome. His research interests also extend to the histological and bio marker profiles as prognostic and predictive markers in head and neck cancer.
