Selina Shah, MD, FACP is board certified in both sports medicine and internal medicine. She is the Director of Dance Medicine at the Center for Sports Medicine based out of San Francisco, CA. She practices at the San Francisco and Walnut Creek offices. She completed her undergraduate, medical school and residency training at Vanderbilt University and her fellowship training in sports medicine in Los Angeles.

Dr. Shah serves as a physician for USA gymnastics, Berkeley Repertory Theater, Mills College, St. Mary’s College, San Francisco Ballet School, and Healthy Dancer’s Clinic. She is the dance company physician for Company C, Diablo Ballet, Liss Fain Dance Company, and Moving Arts Dance Company. She has taken care of several Broadway show performers including Wicked, South Pacific and Lion King. She has worked with U.S. Women’s National Soccer, the World Gymnastics Championships, U.S.A. Track and Field, the Senior Olympic Games, Nashville Predators Ice Hockey, Ironman U.S.A., and several biking, triathlon and marathon events.

She has served as the dance company physician for the Los Angeles Ballet, Louise Reichlen and Dancers, and Diavolo Dance Company. She has also been a team physician for the University of California at Irvine, Los Angeles Valley College, Los Angeles City College, and Occidental College.
