Selina M. Luger is Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also Director of the Leukemia Program, Abramson Cancer Center. She graduated with a BA in Biochemistry from Harvard University in 1982. Then she studied Medicine which she completed in 1987 from McGill University. Prof. Luger underwent post-graduate training in internal medicine at the Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh from 1988 to 1990. She completed her fellowship in hematology-oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia between 1990 and 1993. Her research interests are hematologic malignancies and stem cell transplantation. Prof. Luger is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and a member of the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). She is also a member of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada.
