Sebastien Haneuse is Professor of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He received his PhD from the University of Washington in 2004. After spending a year at Vanderbilt University, he returned to Seattle and worked at the Group Health Research Institute for five years, moving to Boston in 2010. His statistical/methods research focuses on a range of issues that arise in observational population-based research, including study design, missing data, and competing risks. His collaborative research has spanned a wide range of clinical and public health contexts, including breast cancer screening, Alzheimer’s disease, bariatric surgery, hospital profiling, LGBQT health, pediatric obesity, and the role of fathers in early childhood development.
