Sebastien Block PhD

Sebastien Moureau is charge de recherches at the F.R.S.-FNRS attached to the Oriental Institute of the University of Louvain (Belgium). He mainly studies Arabic sciences and philosophy and focuses on the transmission of this knowledge from the Arabic world to the Latin West in the Middle Ages. He is specialized in the history of the so-called ‘occult sciences’, especially alchemy, magic, and astrology.
