Sean is currently an Anatomical Pathology Trainee with The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. He has prior experience in General, Vascular, and Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Sean graduated from The University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) with a Bachelor of Arts (History & Philosophy of Science), Bachelor of Science (Medicine) Honours, Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine. During his Honours year, Sean completed a lab-based research project in the field of Tumour Immunology at The Garvan Institute of Medical Research (Sydney). During his final year in medicine, Sean undertook an elective/sub-internship in Cardiac and General Thoracic Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital (NYC, USA).

Sean completed Internship (PGY-1) and Resident (PGY-2) posts at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Sydney, Australia). During this time, he obtained higher qualifications in surgery (MRCS) and successfully passed the RACS GSSE. Sean relocated to Gold Coast (QLD) where he began work as a Surgical Registrar in Vascular followed by General Surgery. He obtained further higher qualifications in general internal medicine (MRCP) to complement the MRCS.

Apart from medicine, Sean has a strong interest in the History and Philosophy of Science. As a student, Sean completed a paper on the Historiography of Medicine, which will hopefully serve as a good starting point for pursuing higher degrees (MPhil, PhD)
