Sean Brennan

Dr. Sean Brennan had a long career in the NHS in England initially as a Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist. As part of his general management training he left pathology behind to establish a Medical Audit Unit at a busy general hospital in England. He became Information Manager taking responsibility for the Information analysis, Medical Audit and IT staff.


In 1993 Sean was seconded to the Department of Health initially in London then Leeds as Clinical Audit Advisor. In 1996 he was appointed Project Manager for the national Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Project in England a position he held till 1999 when he had a dual role - split between the Health Department of the Scottish Office and the NHS Information Policy Unit of the governments Department of Health in England.
