Scott Sneddon PhD, JD

Scott F. Sneddon, PhD, JD, has 20 years of experience in industrial drug discovery, having held leadership positions in Pfizer’s New Leads Discovery group and as co-founder of the Drug Discovery Group at Genzyme. His technical expertise is in assay development and high throughput screening, having led the Assay Development and Screening group at Genzyme for 10 years. At Pfizer he helped build the structure-based design group.

Dr. Sneddon received his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University in chemistry and biophysics, and his graduate research was in computational chemistry as applied to protein structure and folding. Later in his career, he studied law at Columbia University Law School, and has handled numerous venture financings and licensing transactions while working as an attorney at two Boston law firms. He is a registered patent attorney.
