Scott Phillips

Scott Phillips, founder and President of StarFish Medical, is honoured to be named Executive of the Year by the Vancouver Island Technology Association (VIATeC). Recognized by his peers for his leadership and achievements to date, Phillips received the award at VIATeC’s annual VIATeC Awards gala event on June 2, 2011. Proud to be a member of such an accomplished and vibrant technology community, Phillips extends his congratulations to all the finalists and winners in this year’s VIATeC awards program and expresses his appreciation to VIATeC and its members.

StarFish helps launch companies they can take a product from a client’s imagination and guide them all the way though product definition, technology development, product development, quality management, regulatory support, manufacturing and sustaining engineering. Their specialty is to make sure a client’s first product is exactly right for the intended users.

They are also skillful with a product line extension of their clients. StarFish can integrate with their own existing team and processes to help the client build breakthrough devices that will help them maintain market leadership. Scott’s background is in engineering and physics. A true entrepreneur, he’s only had one job in his life, and that only lasted for three years.
