Scott M. Stevens, M.D., F.A.C.P., has served as Program Director of the Transitional Year residency at Intermountain Medical Center, and as Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency of the University of Utah. Additionally, Dr. Stevens serves as Vice-Chair of the Department of Medicine at Intermountain Medical Center, responsible for continuing medical education.Dr. Stevens earned his M.D. from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1995, and received the Comstock Award for outstanding performance by a medical student in Internal Medicine.

He completed residency at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, receiving awards as both the Intern of the Year and Resident of the Year during his training. He continued at LDS Hospital as Chief Medical Resident, and then served three years as Associate Medical Director of the Fourth Street Clinic in Salt Lake City. He returned as a full-time faculty member in July 2002. Dr. Stevens has been active in research in thrombosis and has served as principle investigator for numerous clinical trials, and has more than 50 publications in the field.
