Scott Liles PhD

Scott Liles has a Ph.D. in experimental condensed matter physics from UNSW, completed under the supervision of Prof. Alex Hamilton. Scott Liles's background is in low-dimensional semiconductor physics and his research activities have focused on understanding the spin properties of holes in semiconductor nano-devices.

Scott Liles has gained significant experience working with experimental techniques including low-noise electronics, cryogenics, dilution refrigerators, semiconductor processing, and high-frequency electronics. During his postgraduate degree, Scott Liles developed a passion for teaching. Scott Liles has experience teaching all levels of undergraduate university physics in tutorial and laboratory settings.

Scott Liles currently working as a postdoctoral scientist at UNSW, with a focus on developing new semiconductor technology for use in quantum computational hardware.
