Scott Faber MD, owner of Developmental Integrative Pediatrics, is a Developmental-Behavioral and Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician with 32 years of experience. He provides intensive assessments and cares for children with a range of developmental disorders including autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, learning disabilities, other cognitive challenges, sleep disorders, post-adoption issues, and nutritional deficiencies. Dr. Faber is a leading proponent in the region of a biomedical model for supporting the care of these children.

Although Dr. Faber is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and the subspecialties noted above, he does not function as a Primary Care Physician. Dr. Faber is a subspecialist who will work with primary care pediatricians, other subspecialists, and healthcare professionals on behalf of his patients. Dr. Faber's research, done in collaboration with Dr. Skip Kingston and his team at Duquesne University, includes studies on chemical and metal toxins and their relationships to immune function and behavior in children with autism, cleanroom technology, and detoxification, and glutathione as an anti-oxidant in autism. Dr. Faber is a Scholar in Residence in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of Duquesne University.

Dr. Faber is proficient in providing a range of relaxation and self-control strategies including several forms of biofeedback, which are offered in this practice. Dr. Faber graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1984, completed a pediatrics residency at Tufts/New England Medical Center in 1987, and completed a Fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1998.

He is also an educator who has spoken at the American Academy of Pediatrics, Pediatric Academic Societies, American College of Environmental Medicine, and Autism Research Institute Meetings. Prior to opening Developmental Integrative Pediatrics, Dr. Faber was the Director of Developmental Pediatrics at The Children's Institute for 14 years, served as the Director of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh for 6 years, and was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center with the role of Primary Care Pediatrician for 8 years.
