Dr. Scott Brancato emphasizes good communication, patient participation, and collaboration when managing a patient's health care. "I am one part of a health care team that includes the patient," he says. "We all work together to do what's best for the patient's health."
In his practice, Dr. Brancato believes his most important role is to serve as an expert available to provide solutions for patients with heart rhythm disorders. "As a cardiac electrophysiologist, I enjoy helping patients understand the complexities of their heart rhythm disorders and treatment," he says.
He earned his medical degree at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and completed his internal medicine internship, residency, and cardiology fellowship at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. Dr. Brancato went on to complete additional medical training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
Dr. Brancato was raised in Washington, D.C., and moved to Portland with his wife, who is a native Oregonian. He is delighted to be in the Northwest where he enjoys running, skiing and cycling.
