Dr. Saul Frenkiel presently serves as Professor of the McGill Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He was the past Chief of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the MUHC and at the Jewish General Hospital. His previous significant positions include President of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Executive Committee member of the Association d’otorhinolaryngologie-cervicofaciale du Quebec, Associate Editor of the Journal of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Fellowship Examiner.
Dr. Frenkiel’s clinical interests are in the sub-specialty of rhinology and endoscopic sinus surgery. His research activities have included work on the molecular biology of chronic sinusitis, mucociliary physiology, and nasal airflow testing. His current research interests involve the newer technology of virtual sinuscopy.
