Professor Saud Aldajah is a profound expert in the areas of tribology and nanotechnology. His work has led to various patent applications in carbon nanotube production and nanocomposites. Prof. Aldajah graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) with a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2003. Prof. Aldajah was hired by Abu Dhabi Polytechnic (ADPoly) in 2014 and is presently the department chair of the Electromechanical Engineering Technology (EMET) program. His previous affiliations include Argonne National Laboratories in Chicago Illinois where he worked as a Research Associate in the Advanced Materials Section/Tribology for 4 years. Thereafter, he joined the United Arab Emirates University in 2004 as an Assistant Professor.

In 2009, Prof. Aldajah was promoted to an Associate Professor and was appointed as the Director of the Engineering Materials Graduate Program. His work has led to more than 30 journal publications and 30 conference proceedings. He has licensed a couple of US patents in the area of Carbon Nanotube development. Prof. Saud served on the editorial board for more than a dozen international journals. He also chaired and attributed in many international conferences locally and internationally. Currently, he is leading the creation of a graduate engineering program at ADPoly.
