Satoru Noguchi BA, MBA

Satoru Noguchi is Area Head of Greater China and Chairman of Takeda (China) Holdings. In this role, he oversees Takeda’s commercial business in China and Hong Kong, as well as Techpool’s business in China. Mr. Noguchi joined Takeda in 1984 and has held a variety of commercial and operational positions across global markets, such as the U.S., Europe and Asia, as well as at Japan headquarters. Most recently, he worked as Vice President of Managed Markets and Business Development at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, U.S.A., Inc. Prior to that, Satoru served as Area Head of Northern/Western Europe and Canada, Commercial Operations.
Satoru has also held various roles in Japanese domestic operations, international business planning, marketing and sales. Acting as an agent of change and transforming the business for an evolving market, Mr. Noguchi served as the Lead for the Nycomed Transition for the Commercial Department. He also supported Project China, a program aimed at stimulating business development in China, helped Takeda successfully reacquire shares from joint venture partners to gain sole proprietorship, and developed strategies for further development in the Chinese market. Mr. Noguchi received his Bachelor of Arts in Law from Keio University, Tokyo and a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University.
