Satish Rudrappa MCh, FASS, FRCS

Dr. Satish Rudrappa is the Director of the Institute of Neurosciences, Senior Consultant of Neurosurgery & Head - of the Department of Spine Surgery at Sakra World Hospital, Bangalore. Dr. Satish Rudrappa is one of the most eminent and distinguished Senior Neurosurgeons in India. He has done his M.B.B.S from Karnataka Medical College, Hubli in the year 1990. He completed his M.Ch (Neurosurgery) at the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in the year 1995 where he was awarded a gold medal for “Best Outgoing Student”. This was followed by a Fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery from Detroit Medical Centre, Detroit, Michigan, USA, Thoracoscopic Spine training from Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, USA, and a Fellowship in Microvascular Anastomosis at Henry Ford Hospital, USA. 

Dr. Satish. R was a visiting Prof. of Neurosurgery at Louisiana State University, Shreveport, USA, and has extensively worked and taught skull base surgical skills and cadaver dissection techniques. He is now a visiting Professor of Neurosurgery at Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, and from 2016 onwards he is the “Education Officer (Neurosurgery)” of AOSpine Asia Pacific and Director of AOSpine Referral Center.
