Dr. Satish Govindaraj is an Associate Professor and Vice Chairman of Clinical Affairs in the Department of Otolaryngology at Mount Sinai. He received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University, completed his internship and residency in Otolaryngology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, and a fellowship in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery at the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania. In addition to the comprehensive treatment of sinus disease, Dr. Govindaraj's clinical interests include endoscopic skull base surgery, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, paranasal sinus and skull base tumours, balloon sinuplasty, and otolaryngic allergy. His current research is focused on the impact of mucosal immunity in chronic sinusitis, the effects of anesthetic technique on surgical conditions in endoscopic surgery, and quality of life after minimally invasive sinus and skull base procedures.
