Dr. Sascha Meyer is currently a Lead Consultant at the University of Saarland. Professor Meyer studied human medicine from 1991 to 1998 at the medical faculty of Saarland. In 1998 he received his license to practice medicine. The doctorate followed in 2002. In 2004 he was recognized as a specialist in pediatrics and youth medicine. In the years 2006/2007 and 2009/2020, two stays abroad took place at the Australian National University, Canberra, and at the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, to deepen the areas of neonatology, pediatric, and cardiological intensive care medicine. This was followed by the habilitation in 2009 and the award of an adjunct professorship at the Saarland University Hospital in 2014. His scientific expertise can be found in numerous publications and book contributions.
