Saruhan Cekirge MD

Dr. Saruhan Cekirge Professor at Hacettepe University Hospitals. After graduating from Kabatas High School, he graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1988. He completed his specialty education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Radiology Department. He became an associate professor in 1996 and a professor in 2003. 
In 1992-1993, he completed his master's degree in vascular/interventional radiology at the University of Pittsburgh Western Pennsylvania Hospital in the USA. The developments in the field of endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular diseases and new treatment methods have been accepted by physicians all over the world. Especially in the last five years, more than 250 doctors from the USA, Canada, all major European countries, Israel and Middle East countries, India, Japan, South Africa, Latin American countries, Australia and China, working in important medical centers, visited Ankara to receive training on the subject. or they came. The doctors tried to learn the treatment techniques by watching the operations performed at the workshops held in the Radiology Department of Hacettepe Hospital.
Among the clinics where the doctors who are trained are affiliated, there are also the most important centers of the world such as the Cleveland Clinic, the University of California Los Angeles, the University of Cornell, University of Oxford. At the same time, he was invited to important university medical centers in the above-mentioned countries, especially in the USA, and performed endovascular brain operations on over 200 selected patients all over the world.
In 2001, he received the Hacettepe University Science Incentive Award. In 2000, he received the Tübitak Scientist Incentive Award.
