Sarah Larson PharmD

Sarah Larson is a Director within Global Clinical Engagement at Biogen where she is responsible for establishing Biogen’s Global Clinical Trial Transparency Policy and managing the process, systems, and resource model to support the operations. Sarah is a member of Biogen’s internal Patient Engagement leadership team that supports Patient Focused Drug Development initiatives, such as ensuring that all participants receive a summary of the trial results at the end of the study. Prior to joining Biogen, Sarah led the Trial Transparency team at Genzyme for 6+ years. Sarah has actively supported the industry’s advancement of Patient Engagement and Transparency as a member of PhRMA and EFPIA Working Groups, DIA’s Transparency Community Leadership Team, the HL7/CDISC CTR&R Project Leadership Council, and the Steering Committee and Working groups of the MRCT Center of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard.

As a breast cancer survivor and clinical trial participant, and after 20+ years within the biopharmaceutical and medical device industry, Sarah has found her niche within Patient Engagement and Transparency and is passionate about ensuring that industry policies continue to promote incorporating the patient voice to advance the science that will ultimately provide the most meaningful treatment options.
