Sarah C. Crockett, MD is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, and the founder and director of the Wilderness and Austere Medicine Fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She is also the co-founder of the Women in Wilderness Medicine Committee of the WMS. Sarah has been active in Wilderness Medicine education and curriculum development for over 20 years. Convinced that becoming an expert in providing the best possible health care in resource limited settings leads to becoming a better health care provider in ANY situation, Sarah has dedicated herself to creating cutting edge educational programs in Wilderness and Austere medicine for fellows, residents, students, and other providers committed to treating ANYONE, ANYTHING, ANYTIME, and ANYWHERE. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys telemark skiing, mountain biking, hiking, trail running and sharing her passion for the outdoors with her husband, four children and anyone willing to listen to her thoughts on “wilderness wellness.”
