Dr. Sarah Ann R. Anderson, MD, Ph.D. is an Adolescent Medicine Fellow at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In 2002, she graduated from the illustrious Xavier University of Louisiana. Following Xavier, she matriculated into the Medical Scientist Training Program at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to pursue both an M.D. and Ph.D. She was awarded a Ph.D. in neuroscience in 2013 and her dissertation work contributed new insight to the molecules that underlie why those who suffer from heroin addiction also battle with depression and anxiety.
