Sarah R. Ahmad MD

Dr. Sarah R. Ahmad is a neurologist with fellowship training in both vascular neurology and headache medicine. She sees adult patients hospitalized for general neurological conditions and vascular neurological conditions, including stroke. She has experience in academic medicine as an educator and researcher with special interests in diversity/equity/inclusion.

Dr. Ahmad has an academic portfolio including experience in research, medical education, and clinical care (in two subspecialties, headache and vascular neurology) with an emphasis on diversity/equity/inclusion. She has published on a variety of topics, from adverse childhood experiences in people with migraine to experiences of microaggressions among women physicians, also serving as a reviewer for several journals. As a medical educator, she enjoys teaching and working in leadership roles to design and improve education initiatives.
