Sara Tabernero MD

After finishing her ophthalmology training at Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid, Spain, she was hired at her training hospital as a consultant for high-volume cataract surgery. She decided to move to the UK to pursue her dream of higher training in corneal disease.

She is currently working as a cornea fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital (London, UK). It is a busy corneal national referral unit where she has had the opportunity to diagnose and treat complex corneal diseases, including patients who need immunosuppression for severe ocular surface scarring disease.
