Sara M. Meeks, PT, MS, GCS, KYT, is an internationally recognized physical therapist, educator, author, and pioneer in the field of bone health, osteoporosis management, and therapeutic movement. With more than six decades of clinical experience, she has dedicated her career to developing safe, evidence-based exercise and rehabilitation strategies for individuals with osteoporosis, osteopenia, postural dysfunction, scoliosis, and back pain.

Since specializing in osteoporosis care in 1984, Sara has created The Meeks Method®, a comprehensive, 12-point approach designed to improve skeletal health, optimize posture, enhance functional movement, and reduce fracture risk. Her work emphasizes anatomically sound alignment, back extensor strengthening, core stability, balance training, and safe movement principles that support lifelong bone health. Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She is an APTA-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist and a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, integrating therapeutic yoga principles into her bone health programs.

Throughout her distinguished career, Sara has lectured nationally and internationally, served as a keynote speaker at major professional conferences, and educated thousands of healthcare and fitness professionals through seminars, workshops, consultations, and online courses. She is also the author of several respected resources on osteoporosis prevention, postural correction, and bone health management. As founder of Sara Meeks Seminars, Sara continues her mission of promoting S.A.F.E. (Skeletally Appropriate For Everyone) Movement, empowering both professionals and the public with practical tools to maintain strength, mobility, confidence, and quality of life at every age.
