Sara Louise Cosby PhD, FRCPath, FRSB

Professor Cosby is currently Head of Virology at the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute in Belfast and an emeritus/honorary Professor at Queen's University Belfast, Wellcome Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine, School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences. She was a member of the staff of Queen’s University of Belfast for over 30 years, and was appointed to the Chair of Microbiology in 2002. She carried out postdoctoral studies on CDV at Cornell University, USA and collaborative studies on rinderpest virus in the Institute for Animal Health, UK. She was a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (London); a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, UK.
