DR. Sanyog Jain is a young researcher and leading nanotechnologist currently working as Assistant Professor at Dept. of Pharmaceutics, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali (Punjab) where he is in-charge of DST funded "Centre for Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology" since July 2008. He has successfully developed several patentable nanotechnology based formulations for treatment of life threatening diseases and successfully licensed Tamoxifen-SEDDS technology for improved breast cancer therapy to an industry for further development and commercialization. He has filed 1 PCT (international patent), 10 Indian patents and published over 65 research papers in high impact international journals, authored 4 book chapters and delivered more than 50 invited talks at several conferences/workshops in both India and abroad
Dr. Sanyog Jain's research interest includes exploring different types of nano drug delivery systems for various biomedical applications. He is actively engaged in developing wide variety of smart nano drug delivery systems for targeted anticancer drug delivery; oral vaccine delivery; oral insulin delivery; enhanced oral bioavailability of anticancer drugs and antioxidants; topical and transdermal drug delivery, non-viral vectors for site specific gene delivery and functionalization of carbon nanotubes for drug delivery applications. Besides NIPER grant, his research work is mainly supported by major grants from various government funding agencies e.g. DST, DBT and ICMR.
