Sanjeev received his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia. During his studies he spent one year as a research engineer with Dr. Erik V Stalberg at the Uppsala University, Sweden. He worked as MDA fellow and later as a Research Medical Assistant Professor at EMG laboratory of the Duke University. In collaboration with Dr. Sanders and Dr.Stalberg, he developed computer simulation techniques to advance the interpretation of the EMG signals. He has co-developed many analysis techniques such as Multi- Motor Unit Analysis (MMA), Expert's Quantitative Interference Pattern (EQUIP), and Turns and Amplitude (TA) that are used in EMG assessment.

At present he is a Clinical Applications Manager at Oxford Instruments where he actively participates in design and development of the Synergy EMG system. He also enjoys teaching and has met hundreds of electromyographers over the last decade. He has given lectures and conducted workshops in many countries (USA, Canada, Mexico, Holland, France, Germany, China, Japan, India, Korea, etc). He also participates actively in the special interest groups of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He has published over 40 articles in medical and engineering journals. He has also contributed chapters to various textbooks on electromyography.
