Dr. Sanjay Konakondla is a board-eligible and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon. He specializes in spinal oncology (focusing on spinal tumor resection and complex spinal reconstruction), minimally invasive spinal surgery, and endoscopic spinal surgery. His clinical interests include degenerative spinal disease, herniated/bulging discs, spinal deformity, traumatic brain and spine injuries, and neurosurgical intensive care. Dr. Konakondla's research interests include spinal cord regeneration, intraoperative neuronavigation, complex patient-specific 3D printing, patient outcomes, simulation training, and medical education in neurosurgery. He attended St. Matthew's University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Konakondla completed his neurosurgery residency at Geisinger Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in complex spinal surgery at Rhode Island Hospital/Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
