Sandra Anderson was named as president of its northern region hospitals. Anderson will direct operations of Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk, Ministry Saint Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander, Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Ministry Eagle River Memorial Hospital in Eagle River and Howard Young Foundation, according to a news release issued Thursday. She will start in her new role on July 6 and will report to Daniel E. Neufelder, president and CEO of Ministry Health Care.
Anderson had served as the president of St. Clare Hospital and Health Services in Baraboo since 2002. She has also held positions at Affiliates of SSM of Wisconsin, Greene Memorial Hospital Inc. in Xenia, Ohio and Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
While Anderson was in her position at St. Clare, the hospital added a freestanding urgent care center and multi-specialty clinic, an in-house MRI service, created a state-of-the-art birthing center and endoscopy suites, and developed a healthy living center that provided weight loss services to rural Wisconsin residents, according to a Ministry Health news release. Anderson holds a master's degree in health care administration from Central Michigan University-Dayton Extension and a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
