Dr. Sandra Davidge is a Distinguished University Professor and the Executive Director of the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI). She is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physiology at the University of Alberta. As a leader in pregnancy research, Dr. Davidge is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (FRSC) and the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS). She has published over 280 scientific articles on pioneering studies that are focused on understanding the causes of pregnancy complications, such as preeclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction, in order to develop new therapies to improve pregnancy outcomes.
